Caberlin is indicated for the management of specific hormonal conditions related to excess prolactin. This medication is utilized to decrease or inhibit lactation, except following childbirth (postpartum). Additionally, Caberlin may be prescribed for Parkinson's disease, tumors that produce prolactin, and to regulate hormone levels in various hormonal disorders (such as ovarian issues). It can also assist in treating erectile dysfunction.
Caberlin is administered orally twice a week. The dosage is typically adjusted every four weeks based on blood test results (prolactin levels). Be sure to adhere to all provided instructions.
Prior to using Caberlin, inform your doctor of your medical history, including any known allergies (particularly to medications), liver conditions, mental health issues, uncontrolled hypertension, or high blood pressure experienced during pregnancy. It is advisable to limit alcohol consumption as it may enhance the side effects of Caberlin. Exercise caution when engaging in activities that require alertness, such as driving. To prevent dizziness and lightheadedness when transitioning from a seated or lying position, rise slowly. If you are pregnant, notify your doctor before starting this medication. It is unclear whether Caberlin passes into breast milk. Due to potential risks to the infant, breastfeeding while taking Dostinex is not advised. Please consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
